Ganga Aarati is a grand spectacle that is performed with great religious fervor on the Ghats of the sacred river Ganga every evening. It has attained international status and acclaim over the years. Brightly lit multilayered lamps held by colourfully clad priests and youngsters, move rhythmically to the beats of drums, gongs, bells and conch shells being blown at the twilight hour. The whole atmosphere is electrically charged with the mysticism of Hindu rituals and devotion. The Trust bears the entire expenses of the daily ritual throughout the year.
